Wild Stallions Battling in Sand Wash Basin, Colorado

Watching wild stallion battles is not for the faint of heart! I always cringe and hope no one gets injured. These two are bachelor stallions Jaco (left) and Rivet). Neither got injured on this day. Stallions go for the face and neck, and I've seen some gruesome injuries and amazingly most heal up fine on their own.
